Kingsbarns Community Council"Community councils are the most local tier of statutory representation in Scotland. They bridge the gap between local authorities and communities, and help to make public bodies aware of the opinions and needs of the communities they represent." - Scottish Government There is a KCC meeting once every two months, usually on the first Monday at 7.00 pm, in the village hall. All residents are welcome to attend and to take part in the often lively discussion. If there is something specific you'd like to raise please contact the Secretary beforehand so that the item can be added to the agenda. The agenda is posted on this site before each meeting.
KCC is governed by the scheme for the establishment of community councils in Fife, and it comprises eight elected members (voting), nominated/co-opted members (advisory/non-voting) and three local ward councillors (ex officio/non-voting).
